Koertge does a good job exposing the un glamorous life of a teen with CP. The reader feels part of the story do to the fact that the author does not glaze over the perils of drug addiction or the difficulties one faces in high school. Ben grows and the reader will grow with him too. Relationships are not easy to maintain because life gets in the way, Ben's disability got in his way and he did not interact with others. Some events in our lives change us for the better & some don't change us at all. There were two verry small scanning errors but it's almost a perfect document. The auther also wrote The Arizona Kid' another good book.
