- Synopsis
- Originally published in 1984, and distributed in serial form to the mass market beginning in 1987, The Legend of Rah and the MugglesTM, tells the first tale in a trilogy and subsequent series about the real Muggles. The Muggles are little people with features resembling babies. Children's book author and artist N. K. Stouffer created the Muggles, and the place they inhabit, Aura. It's a world where a purple haze cloaked the dreary moonlit sky, until the arrival of two unexpected visitors. In another land far from the shoreline of Aura, war was raging, and Lady Catherine launched a raft with precious cargo aboard, her two infant sons. She wrapped the boys in royal blankets and quilts, and packed a jewel box filled with bright rubies and other gemstones between them. The raft drifted away with no chartered destination but the babies' survival. Adrift on the ocean, the babies are fed and cared for by mythical messengers, a kindly sea cow, and his barracuda friend who pulls the floating cradle through the Southern Sea of Nu, and to the shores of the Muggles' homeland. The arrival of the infants would forever change life as the Muggles had known it on Aura.
