In this book, Professor Satish Chandra examines at length the entire era of the magnificence and splendor of the Muslim Empire in India. The book describes the challenges and issues faced by the warriors who came to India and established the empire. The book deals with the entire course of the establishment and maturing up of the Muslim rule. It also deals with various welfare measures introduced by various rulers; from Allauddin Khilji’s market Reforms to Akbar’s people centric approach; the book is so far, the most engaging narrative of the Medieval Indian History. One of the most important and preliminary resources for anyone trying to understand the Medieval Indian culture, religion and society. The book is bound to appeal to anyone desiring to study Medieval India and serves as a very interesting narrative. Written by Ashish Rohtagi.
