- Synopsis
- This is the story of a multi-generation space ship on its way to Canopus. It's also the story of the would-be colonists aboard the ship. But the ship's computer is controlled by the brain of Gerald K. Metaclura, a neurological researcher, and for the most part, this is the story of how a man became a machine, and a thousand years later, becomes human again. Of course, there are also lives of agony, love, desperation, war and so on among the passengers through this time as well.
