- Synopsis
- Mass career customization (MCC) is a natural evolution from the traditional corporate-ladder path, with its one-size-fits-all approach, and the one-off flexible work arrangement approach of accommodation through point solutions, to a more pragmatic, adaptive lattice model. MCC is a framework that helps enterprises promote multidimensional, customized career experiences. The payback is a more actively engaged and loyal workforce. This chapter examines three successful organizations that exhibit de facto MCC behaviors and describes the authors' own experience at Deloitte in experimenting with a structured MCC approach. This chapter is excerpted from "Mass Career Customization: Aligning the Workplace with Today's Nontraditional Workforce."
