- Synopsis
- Leah stared down at what just a few minutes ago had been a beautiful white dot flying along the shore. Now the body of the graceful seagull had been twisted and torn almost past recognition, and as Leah conquered her revulsion to kneel in the darkness and see if life still remained, she wondered with stunned horror what kind of creature could have performed this savage act. Then, out of nowhere, she felt hands, immensely powerful hands, gripping her shoulders, pulling her backward against a hard male body. She felt breath hot in her ear, heard a low guttural sound coming from an unseen throat. And she knew the hands that had maimed that bird and those that were now upon her were the same ... and she screamed as she struggled in vain ...
