I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who is considering working with a guide dog. I loved how it covers all the issues from determining whether a guide dog is right for you, to what to expect in the application and training process, to followup services and the retirement of the dog. I have been with my first guide dog for almost a year, but I also got a lot out of this book, especially when it discussed how to be assertive, or what to do when someone in the public confronts you about correcting the dog. So this is a very useful and informative book that I highly recommend to prospective, as well as current guide dog handlers.
