- Synopsis
- This book provides a systematic discussion about perceptually-inspired color correction algorithms. The basic information about the phenomenological characteristics of the human visual system, recalled in the first chapter, are then used as guiding principle to build computational models to modify the color content of digital images. A particular interest is dedicated to the mathematical analysis of the famous Retinex model and to the construction of a general variational framework where Retinex-like algorithms can be embedded and compared.
