- Synopsis
- Petit is puzzled. He's a good boy when he plays with his dog, but he's bad when he pulls a girl's hair. He can be very nice to his grandfather but terrible to the pigeons. It's good when he takes care of his toys, but very bad when he doesn't want to share them. In short, he doesn't know the answer to his mother's question, "how can such a good boy sometimes do such bad things?" Extraordinarily talented author and illustrator Isol has created a brilliant, funny and ever-so-true recreation of a young child's thinking about a very important question--am I good or am I bad? Petit's wonderful ruminations on the subject, and his astute observations of his own behavior (and that of the adults around him), are so perfectly and lovingly observed and so wonderfully illustrated that this book is a little masterpiece.
