- Synopsis
- When Guran, a hunter on the Siberian tundra, adopts an orphan puppy, life begins to change for him and his family. Toyon grows up to become a gifted hunting dog and a devoted protector of Guran, his wife and children. Toyon protects the family's herd of reindeer, fends off wolves and bears, and saves Guran during a bar-room brawl. This is a portrait of life on the Siberian tundra during the last years of czarist Russia.
