Synopsis: Putting your smart phone away isn’t enough to keep your job. Not watching Game of Thrones at work isn’t enough to keep your job. Showing up early isn’t enough to keep your job. Following instructions isn’t enough to keep your job. Not missing deadlines isn’t enough to keep your job. Not challenging authority isn’t enough to keep your job. Not ever failing isn’t enough to keep your job. The premise of this workbook is that while most of the above would once have kept you gainfully employed, times have changed, and the game has changed. Today's workers have to make explicit choices about how to behave to best ensure keeping their jobs. This workbook (written for use with a Squarage "post modern career readiness" course) offers strategic tips for ways to create enough value for yourself that you won't be replaced before you are able to move on or retire.
