- Synopsis
- A valuable antique samovar-a Russian urn for making tea-is stolen from Park School two nights before the Halloween Hoot fundraiser. It sounds like a case for fifth- grade detectives P.J. Clover and Stacy Jones! If they don't find the samovar, it can't be auctioned to raise money for the school. What's more, their friend Mr. Sabatini, the kindly custodian who has been accused of leaving the school door unlocked, will lose his job. To make matters worse, P.J. and Stacy discover that the Halloween Hooter, a collection of student writing, is also missing! Faced with solving two cases in less than two days, P.J. knows she shouldn't accept a challenge from her rival, Butch Bigelow, to enter the costume contest at the Halloween Hoot. But how can she resist? The pace never flags as P.J. and Stacy race against the clock in another exciting, high-spirited mystery.
