- Synopsis
- Dedicated virologist Luci Nash went to Peru to bring medicine to remote parts of the world. Against a backdrop of human suffering, she fell in love with Jean Pierre Dither, a physician researching a deadly new viral contagion. But in a matter of days, her romance was shattered, her faith shaken, and her world became a frightening place of secrets, lies and medical cover ups. Seeking answers, Luci returns to New York and becomes enmeshed in a conspiracy of epidemic proportions. No one is what they seem, not the charismatic doctor with a miraculous gift for fund raising, or the renowned biologist who has begun to occupy a special place in Luci's life. Caught between one man's desire and another man's hatred, Luci realizes that the truth lies within her own laboratory--a terrifying revelation that could ignite the deadliest outbreak of all.
