I found this book while I was waiting for the new Potter book to come out. At first the reading seemed slow but I gave it a chance. once the book picked up I couldnt put it down. After I finished this book I read it again. I actually liked it more then the Potter books.

When I first began this book, I thought it was a cliche copy of Harry Potter with witches and wizards. I was drastically mistaken. These books are unique and feature a rich blend of characters. However, the one fault the books had, in my opinion, was that there was no order. I was confused about which book I should read next. Other than that, these books are wonderful. Well worth the confusion. I also recommend "Mixed Magics" to everyone who enjoyed the quartet - it is a collection of stories about (guess who) Chrestomanci! Readers will discover some old friends as well as new in these short tales.
