Synopsis: The Spare Wife explores the glamorous - and ruthless - world of high society. After Ponce Morris' public divorce to one of New York's wealthiest men, she knew it wouldn't be long before the social invitations stopped coming. Not one to be kicked to the curb, Ponce becomes, as a method of survival, the Spare Wife. By befriending both sides of a couple, Ponce ensures that she's socially indispensable and grows to enjoy the perks of marriage, without the responsibility (or commitment). When a young social climber on the rise catches Ponce sleeping with a well-known married man, Ponce's public life is soon out of control, and she struggles to preserve her reputation (as well as that of her famous fling).
