- Synopsis
- In September 2002, social scientists attended an international conference in Cali, Columbia organized by the Consultive Group on International Agriculture Research. Papers considered the best were selected, and have been joined by others from scholars outside the Group's network to provide a snapshot of social research in such areas as agriculture, forestry, fisheries, land and water management, and related development policy. The resulting 22 contributions look not only at the knowledge, behavior, and values of practitioners, but also at the institutional structures within which both agriculture and research on it operate.
