- Synopsis
- Heaven Is for Real is the true story of a four-year old who during emergency surgery slips from consciousness and enters heaven. He survives and begins talking about being able to look down and see the doctor operating and his dad praying in the waiting room. Colton said he met his miscarried sister and his great-grandfather who died 30 years before Colton was born. The disarmingly simple message is heaven is a real place, Jesus really loves children, and be ready, there is a coming last battle.

I grew up Catholic, and thus was always told that heaven was real. But like many people, I found it difficult to believe in a place that I wouldn't know about with certainty until after I died. I have read other stories about people who say they experienced heaven, but since they were all written by adults, I always wondered if the writers of these stories had another agenda, and thus did not want to fully trust in the credibility of their stories. But this story, written in the innocent voice of a child, with details he could not have made up like the sister lost in a miscarriage that his mother never told him about, was a huge boost to my faith and beliefs about heaven. So whether you are an elderly person, or a person going through a serious illness and need comfort and reassurance about heaven, or whether you are just a young skeptic like me, this book is an inspiring read that will change your life.
