- Synopsis
- There was a man once lived in Connemara and his name was Patrick Kentigern Keenan. Every bone in his body was lazy and he never did a stroke of work if he could help it, but all the same, he had a great opinion of himself. "I'm the smartest man in Ireland," he used to say. To live up to that boast, Patrick Kentigern Keenan will do anything--he'll even try to outwit the fairies. But though Patrick may be the smartest man in Ireland, the fairies are something else entirely. When their first three battles of wits each ends in a draw, the fairies enchant Patrick's son. To win back the boy, Patrick will have to prove once and for all that he is not only the smartest man in Ireland, but the bravest as well. Ages 10 and up
