Synopsis: Provides information on methodologies and techniques concerning the biochemical laboratory, as well as improvements or advancements made on existing methodologies. Original methodologies for the purification of biological macromolecules and methodologies for metabolic pathways and enzyme kinetics are covered. The application of biochemical and biophysical methodologies for the structural and dynamic characterization of biological macromolecules is considered. The elaboration of automated systems for biochemical research and computer programs for the management and processing of experimental data are both reviewed. Development of instruments and equipment for biochemical research is also presented.
