After her marriage to George Adamson, a Senior Game Warden of the Northern Frontier District, she became foster mother of lions, elephants, monkeys, a tree hyrax, a buffalo, and started her sensational work with cheetah. Living constantly near wild animals, she observed them at close range and made many sketches.
