- Synopsis
- ANIMAL LENDING LIBRARY the sign said when someone read it to Stephen. Animals could take out books, imagine that! But that wasn't the way it was at all. The Library lent animals to children to take home to care for. There were all kinds of animals but the only one Stephen wanted was a brown rabbit. But Stephen had to be seven years old and then work in the library taking care of the animals for two months before he could take one home. Those were the library rules. From then on, Stephen thought of nothing but the brown rabbit and tried to get his older brother to borrow it, but Kenny thought other animals were more interesting. Stephen didn't give up. Can you imagine how he finally got his rabbit?
