- Synopsis
- Newly divorced Kate Austen and Mona Sterling have become fast friends. While Mona has hit the settlement jackpot, Kate has to support herself and her five-year-old daughter with her new career as an art consultant. But the friendship comes to a dead end when Kate finds Mona's stone-cold corpse next to a bottle of expensive scotch and an empty vial of sleeping pills. Only Kate doesn't believe it's suicide. For one thing, Mona had just rescheduled a tennis date. For another, she only drank gin. When a second body turns up, even handsome homicide detective Michael Stone agrees that it's beginning to look a lot like murder. And it's moving much too close to home....
