Synopsis
While investigating a case of breaking and entering at the local museum, the canine detective uncovers a fraud involving dinosaur bones. That four-legged detective, Old English Sheepdog Sebastian, is at it again--up to his furry eyes in a mystery. Sebastian lives with his "roommate" John Quincy Jones, a detective on the city police force. But Sebastian is a dog who really earns his keep, because although John is the one actually paid as a detective, Sebastian feels that he does most of the work. An incredibly keen mind, a mastery of disguise, and a fantastic nose to sniff out clues are invaluable assets. This time, when a new case comes up, Sebastian is right on the job. His nose leads him straight to the Bosworthington Museum, which has been broken into. The problem is--nothing's missing! Undaunted, Sebastian decides to pursue the case. The fact that the mystery involves a lot of bones--even if they are ancient woolly mammoth bones--only provides a further incentive for the old super sleuth. Sebastian's detective work leads him all over town, from a fancy French restaurant to an archeological dig. Finally, in true hawkshaw fashion, he unmasks the villain and reveals his nasty scheme at the museum. All in a day's work for the incomparable Sebastian!
