- Synopsis
- The Zulu nation is renowned all over the world. In the modern world, the Zulu nation has become synonymous with the name Shaka. But who was Shaka? And was he the only one who influenced the shaping of the Zulu nation? One strong woman, Mkabayi, the daughter of Jama, was also instrumental in shaping the history of the Zulu nation. This is a historical play, a recollection of historical events through the eyes of an influentially powerful woman. A curse by birth, she became a blessing as she matured. The play is not just a celebration of Mkabayi’s life but also a story about womanhood, love, life, pain, joy, power and nationalism.
