Synopsis: When a young girl presumed dead for decades is spotted in Miami, long-buried secrets begin to emerge in a thriller by the acclaimed Cuban-American author. In 1992, a few weeks after Hurricane Andrew wreaks havoc across South Florida, a father and his infant daughter crash their car into a canal in Miami. The man&’s body is recovered, but his baby girl is never found. Then, twenty-three years later, reported sightings of the girl begin to emerge. And the impossibly cold case is reopened.
