I was forced to read it for school. The story just seemed to drag on. Not until the ending did it start to get exiting. As well, at the end there were many unanswered questions

it was a good book. i like the way they build up your suspence in certain areas. it's very intresting except when they give huge descriptions of certain things that can be a little bit boring! but otherwise the whole book is fantastic and unexpected things come to your way!

I liked how Wyndham wrote this book. It shows that some people can be very negative to other people just because of the way they look. I had to read The Chrysalids for my engligh class, and I felt that even though I don't normally like to read for long periods of time, I just couldn't put the book down! I really enjoyed reading this novel, and I hope that others will too!

People who are most similar to the Old People, people before tribulation, live in Waknuk which is in Labrador and people who got kicked out of Waknuk lived in the Fringes where the food is scarce.David Strorm, the son of Joseph Strorm who is the leader of the Waknuk, has telepathic ability. He found about 9 people with the ability in Waknuk and later finds out that his sister Petra can communicate as far as half way around the world by telepathy. He leaves Waknuk with his cousin Rosalind and Petra to look for the land where all the people have telepathic powers. Would he find the world he dreamed of? This profound book made me think more about the future. The conversations of the characters, has a This could really happen if we don¡¯t take explosive bombs with caution. As I read through I was astounded at how humans develop in order to adjust to the new environment.
