- Synopsis
- Candy and her family must move to a house they inherited in a small town in Maine. Ever since an accident confined her father to a wheel chair, money has been a problem. Candy Andrews is distressed with this move since she is having to spend her senior year in a new school which she feels is not up to the standards of the one she left in her old home town Her mother and father's galand efforts to open an antique's shop further make Candy feel restricted and less a person with the crowd of "summer" kids she hung around with in former years. However, as time often does, it helps Candy develop herself into a warm outgoing girl who not only is looking forward to her senior year in high school, but a bit of romance as well. Her father's eventual diagnosis, and her mother's antique's shop are wrungs on life's ladder which help Candy become a self sufficient young woman.
