Synopsis: Academic Writing and the Emerging Scholar is an accessible, straightforward text that introduces first-year college students to the fundamentals of beginning composition. All four of its main sections are highly practical, and the authors have designed a number of learning activities that can serve as homework assignments, in-class exercises, or classroom-discussion facilitators.
