This is a delightfully unique sci-fi caper about a man who downloads himself into his vacuum cleaner. Telling much more would give the plot away, but the story ends with a tense courtroom battle proving that even if he's become a machine, he's still a person. Susan, the wife of our modular man and the heroine of our story is a brilliant lawyer, struck by quadriplegia in the prime of life, questioning her own personhood while fighting those internal demons to give her beloved husband a winning defense. A side theme is an interesting exploration of the melding of organic and machine intelligence. Spellbinding and thought-provoking for sure.
