- Synopsis
-
I remember thinking how incongruous it was, that I was kneeling on cold rocks on the edge of a stream on the Chilkoot Trail, contemplating what little I knew of Einstein’s philosophy. Specifically, that nothing is ever destroyed; that matter becomes energy and vice-versa.
Watching the water flow from my filter-pump into the hiking cannister, I was trying to sort out a discussion I had just had with my sister, Shirley Jonas, regarding the nature of ghosts. She, our other sister Bobbie, and I were hiking the trail for the pleasure of the trip and also to go along with her while she “chased ghosts,” or at least ghost stories.
