- Synopsis
- Abe's Story tells of one young man's struggle against the Nazi's dehumanizing system. With relentless precision the Nazis stripped their prisoners of dignity and life, yet Abe never fully relinquished his dignity to them. Abe continued to treat himself and those around him as human beings. When other prisoners were humiliated in their fight to live, Abe strove to help them maintain their humanity. Rather than condemn people for their actions, he anguished when humanity was lost--whether in Germans, Poles, Russians, or Jews.
