- Synopsis
- The book contains four sections, each of which addresses culture and heritage in a different way. Section one covers language, the many languages spoken in the United States, and the way in which American English has taken in words from other languages. Section two talks about culture in the community and how we can learn about our own heritage and the heritages of people we live near. Sections three and four are stories of children learning about each others' and other people's cultural heritages and exploring their own.
