This is an outstanding book. Right out of the gate--there's adult content aplenty here--violence, language and a certain amount of sex--not gratuitous, but it's there. The women's movement is floundering--particularly in a small West Virginia backwater. Molly Turner can't do much about it--until her female lover is shot dead by 3 rednecks. Now, Molly is out for blood--and she wants the men of the nation to wade in it. With the help of her sister's husband and a black Vietnam vet, she forms the most successful vigilante group the world has ever seen--targeting men even their mothers couldn't love--child molesters, rapists, wife beaters, and smut sellers--just to name a few. As despicable as her targets are, certain parties are aghast at her results. One of these is a presidential hopeful who believes putting Molly out of business will put him in the Oval Office. While many of Lawrence Sanders' novels take place in New York, this one crisscrosses the nation--from West Virginia, to Washington DC, and all points between Atlantic and Pacific. this is truly unforgettable stuff.
