People must have high spiritual development to do this Shiatsu technique, because healing disease is not only by fingertip pressure. You have to have spiritual power to do healing by hand. So wrote the founder of modern Shiatsu, Tamai Tempaku, in his groundbreaking book Shiatsu Ho, published in 1919, and thereby affirmed the spiritual dimension of a highly manual art (Dubitsky, 1992).
