Savitribai Phule Samagra Wangmay: सावित्रीबाई फुले समग्र वाङ्‌मय

Maliसावित्रीबाई फुले समग्र वाङ्‌मय या डॉ. मा. गो. माळी यांनी संपादित केलेल्या व मंडळाने १९८८ मध्ये प्रसिद्ध केलेल्या पहिल्या आवृत्तीला वाचकांचा उत्तम प्रतिसाद मिळाला. त्यानंतर मार्च १९९८ मध्ये या ग्रंथाची दुसरी आवृत्ती प्रसिद्ध करण्यात आली व २००३ साली तिचे पुनर्मुद्रण करण्यात आले. आज ही पाचवी आवृत्ती प्रकाशित करण्याचे मंडळाने ठरविले. महात्मा ज्योतिबा फुले आणि क्रांतिज्योती सावित्रीबाई फुले या दांपत्यांचे महाराष्ट्रावर अनंत उपकार आहेत. एकोणिसाव्या शतकातल्या अशिक्षित, अज्ञानी, पीडित अशा महाराष्ट्रातील बहुजन समाजाला त्यांनी ज्ञानदीप दाखवून चिरंतन स्वरूपाचे मार्गदर्शन केले. आजचा ज्ञानवंत व सुशिक्षित महाराष्ट्र म्हणजे, सावित्रीबाई व ज्योतिबा यांच्या सेवेची फलश्रृती होय. या दांपत्यांचे वाङ्‌मय आजही प्रेरक वाटते.

by Maharashtra Rajya Sahitya Sanskriti Mandal Mumbaiशेक्सपिअरच्या जन्माला इ.स. १९६४ मध्ये ४०० वर्षे पूर्ण झाली. त्या वर्षी सर्व जगभर झालेल्या उत्सवावरून या अद्वितीय नाटककाराची मोहिनी जनमानसावर किती आहे हे दिसून आले. प्रत्येक देशात थोड्याफार प्रमाणावर त्याचे वाङ्‌मय व चरित्र याबद्दल चर्चा करण्यात आली. इंग्लिश बोलणाऱ्या देशांत व विशेषतः इंग्लंड, अमेरिका वगैरे देशांत गौरवग्रंथ निर्माण झाले, शेकडो व्याख्याने, परिषदा वगैरे कार्यक्रम घडून आले व आधीच जगप्रसिद्ध असलेल्या या साहित्यसम्राटाची कीर्ती सामान्य लोकांच्या कानांवरही सारखी पडत राहिली. शेक्सपिअरबद्दल आतापर्यंत निरनिराळ्या देशांतून व भाषांतून इतके लेखन झाले आहे की त्या लेखनानेच अनेक मोठी ग्रंथालये भरू शकतील. केवळ शेक्सपिअरचे ग्रंथ व त्यांवरील वाङ्‌मय याकरिता स्वतंत्र ग्रंथालये अनेक देशांत उपलब्ध आहेत. त्याचप्रमाणे फक्त शेक्सपिअरच्या वाङ्‌मयाची चर्चा करणारी अनेक नियतकालिकेही आहेत. इंग्लंडमध्ये दरवर्षी प्रसिद्ध होणाऱ्या Shakespeare Survey सारख्या उच्च दर्जाच्या पुस्तकांत शेक्सपिअरसंबंधी चाललेल्या संशोधनाचा आढावा, नवीन ग्रंथांची परीक्षणे, इतर भाषांतील संशोधन वगैरे सर्व गोष्टींचा उल्लेख असतो. अशाच तऱ्हेची बरीच नियतकालिके अमेरिका, जर्मनी इत्यादी देशांतही वर्षानुवर्षे चालू आहेत हे लक्षात घेतले म्हणजे मन अश्चर्याने थक्क होऊन जाते. कारण सुमारे ३७-३८ नाटके व काही खंडकाव्ये यांवर अनेक ग्रंथालये भरतील इतके वाङ्‌मय सारखे प्रसिद्ध होत राहावे यावरून शेक्सपिअरबद्दलच्या लोकांच्या भावना, त्याच्याबद्दलचा आदर व त्याची लोकप्रियता, यांची कल्पना येऊन तो एक अतिमानव (Supermen) असला पाहिजे असे वाटू लागते. जगातील कोणत्याही लेखकाबद्दल इतके अव्याहत लेखन अद्यापि तरी झाले नाही व होऊ शकेल असे वाटत नाही. या अलौकीक यशाचे रहस्य काय याचा थोडासा विचार या ग्रंथात केला आहे..
