Jibhakateनवीन शैक्षणिक धोरण (NEP) २०२० अंतर्गत “स्थूल अर्थशास्त्र" ह्या पुस्तकाची प्रथम आवृत्ती प्राध्यापक मित्र आणि व विद्यार्थ्यांना सादर करताना अत्यंत आनंद होत आहे. हे पुस्तक नागपूर विद्यापीठाच्या बी.ए. भाग १ च्या सेमिस्टर - II च्या नवीन अभ्यासक्रमानुसार लिहिले असून ते महाराष्ट्रातील इतर विद्यापीठाच्या कला व वाणिज्य शाखेच्या विद्यार्थ्यांना उपयुक्त ठरेल असा विश्वास आहे. अर्थशास्त्रातील काही संकल्पना वेगवेगळ्या भागात वेगवेगळ्या नावांनी ओळखण्यात येतात. त्यामुळे विद्यार्थांच्या मनात संभ्रम निर्माण होण्याची शक्यता असते. असा संभ्रम निर्माण होऊ नये म्हणून एकाच संकल्पनेकरिता मराठीतील अनेक पर्यायी नावे दिलेली असून इंग्रजीतील प्रतिशब्दही दिलेले आहेत. त्यामुळे परीक्षेत एखादी संकल्पना किंवा सिद्धांत वेगळ्या नावाने विचारण्यात आला तरी विद्यार्थांना त्याचे अचूक उत्तर देता येईल, असा विश्वास आहे.
