Thakkar Kollaiyargal: தக்கர் கொள்ளையர்கள்

Varatharajanவரலாற்றின் இருண்ட பக்கங்களில் ஒளிந்துகொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள்தக்கர்கள். கிட்டத்தட்ட இரண்டு நூற்றாண்டுகளுக்கும் மேல்அனைவரையும் அச்சத்தில் உறைய வைத்த இந்தப் பெரும்கொலைகாரக்கூட்டம் இன்று தடமே இல்லாமல் மறைந்துபோய்விட்டது.வலுவாகக் கோலோச்சிக்கொண்டிருந்த காலத்தில் இந்தியாவின் பெரும்பகுதியைத் தக்கர்கள் தங்கள் கட்டுப்பாட்டில் வைத்திருந்தார்கள்.காவல்துறையினர், அரசு அதிகாரிகள், சிப்பாய்கள், வணிகர்கள்,ஆன்மிக யாத்திரிகர்கள், சாமானியர்கள், பெண்கள், குழந்தைகள்என்று எந்தவித பாரபட்சமும் இன்றி ஆயிரக்கணக்கானவர்களைத்தக்கர்கள் கொன்றொழித்தனர். அவர்களுடைய உடைமைகள்மட்டுமல்ல சடலங்கள்கூட ஒருவருக்கும் கிடைக்கவில்லை.சுருக்குக் கயிற்றை வீசியெறிந்து கழுத்தை முறித்துக் கொல்வதுஇவர்களுடைய வழக்கம். கவனமாகத் திட்டமிட்டு, துல்லியமானமுறையில் ஒவ்வொரு கொலையையும் கொள்ளையையும் செய்துமுடிப்பார்கள். இவையனைத்தையும் காளியின் பெயரால், அவருடையவழிகாட்டுதலின்படிச் செய்வதாகவும் சொல்லிக்கொள்வார்கள். வரலாற்றின் இருண்ட பக்கங்களில் ஒளிந்துகொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள் தக்கர்கள். கிட்டத்தட்ட இரண்டு நூற்றாண்டுகளுக்கும் மேல் அனைவரையும் அச்சத்தில் உறைய வைத்த இந்தப் பெரும் கொலைகாரக்கூட்டம் இன்று தடமே இல்லாமல் மறைந்துபோய்விட்டது. வலுவாகக் கோலோச்சிக்கொண்டிருந்த காலத்தில் இந்தியாவின் பெரும் பகுதியைத் தக்கர்கள் தங்கள் கட்டுப்பாட்டில் வைத்திருந்தார்கள். காவல்துறையினர், அரசு அதிகாரிகள், சிப்பாய்கள், வணிகர்கள், ஆன்மிக யாத்திரிகர்கள், சாமானியர்கள், பெண்கள், குழந்தைகள் என்று எந்தவித பாரபட்சமும் இன்றி ஆயிரக்கணக்கானவர்களைத் தக்கர்கள் கொன்றொழித்தனர். அவர்களுடைய உடைமைகள் மட்டுமல்ல சடலங்கள்கூட ஒருவருக்கும் கிடைக்கவில்லை. சுருக்குக் கயிற்றை வீசியெறிந்து கழுத்தை முறித்துக் கொல்வது இவர்களுடைய வழக்கம். கவனமாகத் திட்டமிட்டு, துல்லியமான முறையில் ஒவ்வொரு கொலையையும் கொள்ளையையும் செய்து முடிப்பார்கள். இவையனைத்தையும் காளியின் பெயரால், அவருடைய வழிகாட்டுதலின்படிச் செய்வதாகவும் சொல்லிக்கொள்வார்கள். காளியின் மைந்தர்களைத் தண்டித்தால் என் ஆட்சியும் உயிரும் போய்விடும் என்று அஞ்சி முகத்தைத் திருப்பிக்கொண்ட மன்னர்கள் பலர் இருந்தார்கள். வில்லியம் ஸ்லீமன் என்னும் பிரிட்டிஷ் அதிகாரியின் வருகைக்குப் பிறகுதான் நிலைமை மாறத்தொடங்கியது. திறமையாகவும் துணிச்சலாகவும் ஒரு பெரும் வேட்டையைத் தொடங்கிய ஸ்லீமன் தக்கர்களைச் சிறிது சிறிதாக முடிவுக்குக் கொண்டுவந்தார்.
