An diesem Punkt setzt das vorliegende Werk an und beschreibt die Grundlagen, Voraussetzungen und die Entwicklung zweier techno-ökonomischer Berechnungsmodelle. Darin werden neben der Berechnung der erforderlichen Speicherkapazitäten, auch die Kosten für die gesamtheitlichen Systeme und deren anfallende Verluste betrachtet.
