The chapters show how digital spaces sometimes create unprecedented opportunities for diasporic communities to mobilise (multi)cultures, sexuality, race, and queerness within South Asian diasporic communities and to move beyond ‘Desi’ and ‘Brown’ as homogenising identifiers. La Bibliothèque du Profane a tout cela, mais tous ne peuvent pas gérer son contenu (Certaines personnes ne peuvent pas supporter leur érotisme de loup-garou). Cela fait cinq ans que je suis bibliothécaire ici et quand je dis que j'ai tué pour obtenir ce poste, je ne fais pas de l'humour noir. Vous ne pouvez pas emprunter nos livres. Certains d'entre eux sont sentients et n'apprécient guère cela. Nous avons des salles pour exécuter les sorts ou, par les temps qui courent, nous avons également une photocopieuse (les copies sont payantes). Quand une sorcière est entrée en disant qu'elle avait besoin de faire un peu de nécromancie, je ne l'ai pas remise en question. On ne lui aurait pas accordé de carte de bibliothèque si elle s'apprêtait à faire revenir quelqu'un de vraiment mauvais. J'ai aidé avec la nécromancie parce que c'est simplement mon rôle en tant que bibliothécaire. Sauf que ce n'était pas une résurrection normale. C'était l'incarnation physique du Chaos et quand il s'est réveillé, il m'a vue en premier et maintenant il est accro. Le Chaos personifié est un horrible invité de bibliothèque et il ne veut pas partir avec la sorcière qui l'a ramené. Il s'immisce constamment dans des affaires qui ne le concernent pas et il est vraiment friand de l'érotisme de loup-garou.
