Jose and Mariano Meet Taotaomon'a
by Bill BeckerCollection of stories about two boys and their experiences with the spirits and other supernatural forces on the island of Guam. "The Taotaomon'a stories in this book were gathered from many of the customers that came to SHIRLEY'S COFFEE SHOP in Mangilao over the past ten years. Some of the stories recount the personal experience of the tale-teller while other stories seem to be stories retold for ages... I have used the names 'Jose' and 'Mariano' for my fictional characters that are 10-year old cousins with no specific last name... Taotaomon 'a are not to be feared but the ancient spirits are to be respected because they are busy on earth completing their task to get to the great beyond. Remember, be polite, ask permission and please say 'excuse me' to avoid offending them." Bill Becker
Sailing Escape to Guam
by Bill BeckerSailing ESCAPE to Guam, is a story about a fictitious family of five in a sailboat named "ESCAPE" from California to Guam. Brian, the husband, father and captain is rendered comatose by an accident, some 300 miles east of Guam. His wife, Sharon, who was proficient in domestic duties, didn't have a clue about sailing the boat. Alan, the oldest son, to whom the captaincy of ESCAPE should have fallen, was possessed with a changing hormone mix that interfered with his rational thinking. Steve, the twelve-year-old son and his eleven-year-old sister, Kelly, were determined to sail the boat to a harbor in Guam or at least close enough to land to get help for their ailing father. These can be more acute in Late-or-Never-Bloomers, those who suffer the "Blew-It Anxiety" of unmet potentials or the misfortune of circumstances, inauthentic or diffused identities; as well as those with skeptical or quasi-afterlife beliefs. A Dog Named Slugger: The True Story of the Friend Who Changed My World
by Leigh BrillThe true life story of a dog who changed everything for one woman. For the first time in my life, I didn't need to pretend, I didn't need to be tough: I only needed to be honest. "I have cerebral palsy. I walk funny and my balance is bad. I fall a lot. My hands shake, too. That means I'm not so good at carrying things. And if I drop stuff, sometimes it's hard to just bend down and get it." I waited anxiously for the interviewer's response. She smiled. "It sounds like a service dog could be great for you." So began Leigh Brill's journey toward independence and confidence, all thanks to a trained companion dog named Slugger. The struggling college student and the Labrador with a "a coat like sunshine" and a tail that never stopped wagging became an instant team. Together, they transformed a challenge into a triumph. Together, they inspired and educated everyone they met. Now, Leigh honors her friend with the story of their life, together.

This is proven by numerous scientific studies, and by clinicians like me who have gotten patients entirely off their diabetes-related medications ... have normalized their blood sugar naturally ... repaired much of the damage that diabetes had done to their tissues and organs ... and virtually erased their risk of heart attack, blindness, kidney failure, limb amputation, stroke, Alzheimer's, and other serious complications. The very same approach I use has also freed Type 1 diabetics from the prospect of these terrible complications, while dramatically reducing their injected insulin by as much as 80-90%. This book will show you exactly how to achieve these remarkable results for yourself.
