The ABCs of Bookshare for Educators - Sign Up
Bookshare offers two account types. Both types of accounts are FREE for qualified U.S. students and schools. Before you sign up, you might want to check to see if your district's Assistive Technology, Visual Impairment and/or Special Education Department has already created an Organizational account for district wide usage.
Types of Accounts
Organizational Accounts are for districts, schools and organizations such as community centers, libraries or resource centers who support students with reading barriers. Educators manage the account and assign books to students. Students can only read books that have been assigned to them.
Individual Accounts are for students and adults with reading barriers. The Individual (or parent) manages the account and can read from the full Bookshare collection.
Students can have both types of accounts.
