How do students access their assigned books?

Students who are part of an organization account through their school can log in to the Bookshare website or the reading tool of their choice with the username and password established by their teacher to access their Assigned Books and Reading Lists.

Usernames and passwords are created by the Sponsor when adding a student to the Member Roster. If a student was added without a username and password, Sponsors can easily update their information by selecting the edit link (pencil icon) next to the student’s name on the Member Roster.

Usernames can be email addresses, student ID numbers, nicknames or anything you choose. Passwords must be 8 characters long, contain at least one letter and one number, and are case sensitive. The username must be unique for each student.

On the Bookshare website, their My Bookshare Page contains links for Assigned Books and Reading Lists. They can simply select the “Read Now” button to open the book in Bookshare Reader for Web.

If a student is using an app on a mobile device they will see links or tabs labeled Assigned Books and/or Reading Lists depending on the app.
