Now that you have signed up, it’s time to experience reading with Bookshare.
For your first book, we recommend reading with our free app, Bookshare Reader, on a computer or mobile device.
Read on computer
- Log into Bookshare on a browser (we recommend Microsoft Edge for best voices)
- Find a book using search or by browsing our collection
- Select “Read Now” on the book you want to read.
The book will open in Bookshare Reader, and you can select “Play” to read the book.

Read on smartphone or tablet
- Install Bookshare Reader from the Apple App Store or Google Play
- Find a book by selecting Discover
- Select “Download” on the book you want to read
- Select “Read Now”.
The book will open, and you can select “Play” to read the book.
