What is an Individual Membership account?

An Individual Membership (IM) is a qualified adult or student's personal Bookshare account with Bookshare. IM's can freely search for and download books in any of the Bookshare accessible formats, unlike Organizational Members who only have access to books assigned to them. IM's can be linked with an Organizational Membership if desired to allow a sponsor or a teacher to assign books.

Individual Memberships are free for qualified U.S. students, however all other Individual Members need to purchase a subscription. A yearly Bookshare subscription is $79.99 for most Individual Members, however the subscription cost varies depending on country.
